This free programme gives serving Nigeria Police Force personnel practical, safety-first training in operating drones for observation and surveillance support. It combines ground-school lessons with supervised live flight sessions using training drones we provide.

    Drone types, components, batteries and safe handling.

    Airspace rules & regulations

    Nigerian airspace, restricted areas and responsible operation.

    Pre-flight checks, controls, manoeuvres and emergency procedures.

    Aerial observation

    Camera use, photography, video recording and image quality.

    Surveillance fundamentals

    Planning observation tasks, positioning and evidence handling.

    Crowd monitoring, search support and incident documentation.

Training schedule

Six weeks of training: online ground-school lessons plus scheduled practical flight days.

Assessment

  • Short quizzes at the end of each module
  • A written final assessment on safety, airspace rules and operations
  • A supervised practical flight assessment

You need 70% overall to pass.

Certification

Officers who pass receive a Societal Concerns training certificate with a unique number that anyone can verify online.

This is a training certificate. It is not a government drone pilot licence; rules set by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) still apply.
